Camp Chautauqua

This is a very nice campground. The sites are nice and level and big. The only complaint I had was that when I reserved my campsite online, the site map made it appear that the water was in front of me, but there were two rows of permanent tiny houses in front of us so we had basically no view of the lake at all. It was clean and well-maintained in the camp store held everything you could possibly need. And there were some things to see and do in the town ofChautauqua itself. It has a decent choice of restaurants and bars to visit if you choose

This is our 2nd season here. Great for all. Summer weekends are full of fun activities.The off season is is surreal and pleasurable. Close to all shopping excursions if you need to.The camp staff and the owners are a pleasure and helpful. The Full hook-up sites are ideal and have plenty of room. Docking our boat made our 10 day vacation the best . Ask the right questions and you will get the best results here. This is a Campgrounds and the best that we have been to and will return to .

I absolutely love this campground. We have jet skis so it’s incredibly easy to get in and out of the water. This is the only campground the the seasonal people treat the weekenders with kindness. I have a favorite spot and it took a few years to get there. The staff are always kind and friendly. Just waiting for a seasonal spot to open so I can be there forever

Great camp if you have a boat. ( We don't) Gated security. Hilly, so you can get a good walk. Camp store adequate, staff at check in was great. You can't choose your site when you make reservations . They put us in the section at the back of the camp, next to the road, all sites are on the side of a hill so they aren't level. We were assigned site #195, too short and too narrow for our trailer and tow vehicle. Our slide out was 7 feet away from the park model next to us and we had to squeeze our truck between a fence and our awning. There's a cable box there so we could only back the truck up so far. If we parked sideways in the front the truck was partially on the road. The sight slopes from front to back so our step legs were fully extended and we had to add additional blocks under them.

We came up for the fall leaves and they did not disappoint. This campground is huge with lots of seasonal/permanent trailers but they are well cared for and almost like tiny houses. There's access to the lake, a beautiful pool, playgrounds, and a petting zoo. They have a large camp store and helpful office staff. We definitely plan to return in the summer to take full advantage of the amenities!
