We had a fantastic stay at Camp Edison! We stayed in a trailer with full hook-ups, and everything worked perfectly. The back-in sites were easy to access and spaced appropriately, giving us a comfortable amount of privacy. The entire campground was beautiful and well-maintained. The bathrooms stood out—they were very clean and looked freshly painted, which we really appreciated. Our kids had an absolute blast exploring the area, and even though our first night brought a full-on thunder and lightning storm, it made the experience even more memorable. Overall, Camp Edison is a great spot for families looking for a scenic, clean, and well-run campground. We’ll definitely be back!
Camp Edison in Shaver, CA is one of my favorite places to stay! The campground is clean, well-maintained, and surrounded by the most beautiful scenery. The sites are spacious and well-kept, with plenty of shade and easy access to the lake. Staff is friendly and helpful, making check-in a breeze. Whether you’re camping with family or friends, it’s the perfect mix of relaxation and outdoor fun. It’s my favorite place!
We stayed 3 nights this weekend and had the best time. It’s been several years since we last visited and will definitely be returning soon if we can get a spot. The staff that checked us in was super friendly and welcoming, as well as the ladies in the store and the employees who were driving around in camp Edison vehicles. We stayed in the manzanita loop. Our spot wasn’t too level but hey, it’s camping so honestly we made some adjustments to the trailer and didn’t let it bother us. We had our dog with us, we saw several dogs on walks and had absolutely no issues with barking, etc as others have mentioned. Our entire loop was extremely quiet and peaceful. The beach areas did fill up quite quickly so if you want a spot you need to go really early during summer months or you probably won’t g
We went on 7/25/2025. Camping area was nice. Bathroom were kept clean. There’s a small store that carries anything you might forgot to pack. When we got there was late at night. The people when we arrived at the booth were extra nice, very informative. Can’t say that about the lady that took our check out permit. When we left our campsite we when down to the beach just to check it out and maybe stay for a bit more since check out is 10 or 11 don’t remember. We decided not to because there was a lot of people. When we were driving out Edison the check out lady was very rude and said how we got away with that, not got caught and fined! Like we knew we weren’t supposed to do that! I thought you were just to check out from your camping site not the whole Camp Edison. Years ago we did the same
RV’d next to lake, quiet, peacefully great view. Everyone was very nice from camp host to forrest personnel. Facilities were clean and accessible. Been here before will definitely return.
