Camp Cardinal RV Resort

We had a completely blast here. I don’t understand some of the bad reviews. I will say, it appeared to be new owners or operators when we stayed, so maybe that was a reason for the improved atmosphere. I’m not sure. But we had a blast from the crabbing to the fishing to the pool area and everything in between. Will be back!

We came to this campground for a quick getaway since we only live 30 minutes away. We arrived Thursday night with no issues. My husband left in the morning for work and wasn't returning till that evening. We were at site 59, next to the water. Around 10ish the next morning, I noticed that the water was rising and about 45 minutes later it was surrounding my camper up to my cafs. I went to the office to get help and see if they could use a tractor to pull me out. Staff in the office acted like they could care less. Zero concern on there part even when I told them I was by myself. A staff member said she had to ask the manager if they could move me. I ran back to camper to get my dog out. We found Camp Cardinal back in May (stayed through rain) and returned for Labor Day with both sides of our family because we enjoyed this camping resort so much the first time. So much fun for all ages all week- you feel no need to leave what so ever. Looking forward to another trip- hopefully in October to experience their Halloween themed month!

I can’t say enough good things about Camp Cardinal ! It is an awesome campground, and we’ve stayed at A LOT of campgrounds! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Two BEAUTIFUL pools!!! Quite a bit to do in the area. We are already planning on what to visit on our next stay in 2026. My only hope is that the WiFi is a little better, but if it’s not, it’s not a deterrent. We love this campground!

We went here to take my 2&4 yr old on a camping trip in our travel trailer/caravan. We were in bay 58. There was no shade or privacy at all, the sewage smell was terrible, there was a sink hole next to the bay that I had to keep the boys away from and generally was a dirty campsite. The showers and toilets were awful! No hot water, the ceiling was collapsing, lights hanging from the ceiling and were absolutely horrible. |The weekend music and dancing night was on and was supposed to end at 10pm and it was still banging away at 10.30lm! The first night we were there, the large group opposite us were being really loud until 2.30am and there was supposed to be a quiet policy after 11pm. |Overall a campsite I would never recommend. The only good thing was that the lady who checked us is was f
