Camelot by the Sea in Myrtle Beach

The hotel is very old. They have remodeled rooms fairly well. All balconies every room faces ocean. Beautiful view. It’s Feb. so not good weather, cold, rainy. Heated lazy river and hot tub made our stay great!! It’s a win for children! Outdoor pools as well. Some kiddos did swim outside. We are in 70’s so outside pool not for us.

We booked through trip.com which I found out later was Singapore company cause my 1st charge refused it. They do not update you but we contacted Vacasa and they send us everything we needed to get in room and gate for garage. It is a different company that manages hotelFor our room at least and don’t bother with them they are just rude. The room was very nice and clean. Plenty of space with 3 bedrooms we have stayed in many rooms at the Camelot and this was my favorite. Can’t wait to go back.

This place is an absolute dump! Roaches great you to a room that has had better days 20 years ago. Maintenance issues, cracked sinks, walls needing paint long ago, doors busted, closets without hangers, no soap on bathroom, the list goes on. Don’t stay here if you expect something above a Motel 6. Management: Soend sone money at least painting the place and replacing broken cracked tubs and sinks! Don’t try to use putty and Bondo to do repair vs replace! Rooms are dirty!

Not happy at all! My aunt is about to begin cancer treatment so we brought her here for a vacation to lift her spirits and it has not been very pleasant. First off, the power was off when we got here and we had to sit in our room in the dark. Not to mention, they were late getting the room ready for us. Then, no hot water. No courtesy discount or partial refund for what we went through. Also, they claimed to have done a deep clean on our room, however my mom's shoes are permanently stained and our feet were all black from the dirt in the floor. No housekeeping service. Paid $770 for two night and we deserve at least a partial refund at minimum for our troubles and the front desk told me there was nothing she could do. Not planning on returning unless they make this right!

I came to stay here with my family for this week of New Year's. I do want to say the staff at the front desk were very polite and professional. Best part of our stay. Location was great and close by to everything. This was our first time staying here. First of all I was not impressed with the room. Our room was a 3 bedroom condo. Each room had dirty carpets and walls. We had no clean towels brought to the room and no trash was changed.There was hair in the carpet and the windows were dirty. This is all very noticeable when the sun is beaming in. I paid a cleaning fee included in with my booking and for what, Because our room wasn't clean to begin with!
