Calypso Boutique Hotel

Nice, clean and quaint place to stay. Access to shared pool was awesome for the price. Pool is very well maintained . Daily maid service was excellent. Debby, front desk clerk, was so nice, welcoming, and friendly. She gave great suggestions of things to do and see in this area.

I'd have to say we had a pretty good 2 night stay in the standard efficiency. The room was very clean, the bed was in good shape...me personally I slept like a baby. The bathroom was huge and very clean. The kitchenette had plenty of clean dishes and silverware and a standard size coffeemaker. Bring your own coffee and condiments though. It was very quiet, and this was during "Roar for the Shore". Can't beat the location, 2 blocks to the Boardwalk. All in all, I reccomend!

Sandra at the front desk was so warm and personable, but since I booked third-party, I didn't realize they have one shared front desk - I was very confused that the Calypso didn't have a front desk on site! Once that hiccup passed, everything went very smoothly. The location is absolutely fantastic, right by the boardwalk, and the efficiency unit was definitely enough space for the two of us. The room was a bit rough around the edges, but it was very clean, and the hotel is currently undergoing upgrading the flooring and perhaps other things. If you stay here, call them direct - you'll get all the information about check in as well as probably a better rate than posted. They don't have an official website to book at.

So I gave a 2 star for the overall, because of the location! The room was extremely tiny! I booked through booking.com and was supposed to get have Clarem happy days. Booked back in March and on the day of my arrival (July 14th) was told that they moved me to one of their other hotels) so then I had to move my car, so I’d be closer. But I’m angry, because the room was small, the hotel room was awful to open & shut, the shower curtain leaked everywhere, hard to get in & out around the room, it was super tiny! No table. So had to eat on the floor! Paid for a queen bed and it was definitely a full size bed. Things need to be a lot more updated! And not right to move me because someone else cancelled their trip! When I was booked months prior!

Loved Calypso! The rooms were clean, and spacious. Location was great, just a 3 minute walk from the boardwalk! Housekeeping was attentive and so friendly. Will stay again!!
