Cacapon Resort State Park Lodge

My dogs and I had a great time here! There were lots of hiking trails nearby and the staff at the lodge was very friendly. They had outdoor stuff to do even in the winter time. They have a great gift shop with lots of local West Virginia products and they use West Virginia products in the rooms which I loved…nice, simple touch. I got a facial at the report spa from Emilia and it was super relaxing and luxurious. Only bummer was the breakfast buffet was kinda eh, but it was cheap.

We stayed at Cacapon State Park Lodge for our wedding anniversary and had a wonderful time! The lodge was beautiful, the rooms were clean and modern, and the park itself was absolutely stunning. We caught a gorgeous sunrise at the overlook one morning — such a peaceful and romantic moment. The restaurant was great, and we really enjoyed relaxing by the pool. The staff was friendly and welcoming, making our stay even better. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway or special occasion!

We stayed 2 nights. This lodge was beautiful and so comfortable! The pool and whirlpool were nice as well as a weight room. The restaurant was great and the bar was cool! I would totally recommend this, the only negative thing I have to say about the room was the bathroom door was a barn style so it did not close completely. Not a big deal.

First time here and I liked it. Had alot to offer on site besides the gorgeous mountain views. 1st time clay shooting, reasonable $34 includes a box of shells, gun, ear gear and Jim there taught me well. Horseback riding at Triple C, was a good hour ride with nice horses, the path they had to take waa rugged and I felt sorry for the horses $48. Golf Course is nice $50, 18 holes. They have 1 restaurant Propects and Legacy Lounge, the clam chowder is the best, make sure it's hot, mine wasn't. Breakfast Buffet reasonable $13.99 average taste, 2nd time I ordered from the menu. Dinner buffet is fine $23. All in all, just okay including service. Decor is a nice atmosphere. Rooms are nice beds are good. The worst part of this trip is their broiler just got fixed and the Jacuzzi was cold

Nice accommodations. Beautiful mountain location. Had some issues with payment. We thought we had it paid for everything a year earlier. Even received a receipt. A few days before the trip we were told there was a glitch and the payment never went through. I checked my account and this seemed to be true It took a couple more tries for payment to be successful which was making me nervous. Hopefully all is well. We will be keeping a close eye on our account. But the host was nice to speak to. The place was very nice and spacious for our large group of 8. 3 full bathrooms. One on each level. The large deck was a quiet and beautiful spot to spend our mornings with coffee. The kitchen was stocked and we were able to cook some meals. Public pool close by but you would most likely want to drive.
