Cabrillo Inn at the Beach

Great but no microwave!!!! I was sooooo bummed. We ate all of the frozen Trader Joe’s snacks we had just bought by letting them sort of thaw out. Fantastic location. The outdoor hangout areas have gorgeous plantings. And a view of the beach. So that elevates it above a typical motel. Typical motel rooms. Outdated furniture. But decent beds. Carpeted floors, which I don’t love for cleanliness. But totally understand for noise cancellation. Best bargain motel in Santa Barbara in terms of price and beachside location. Very lucky to still have an affordable option in this area! (4 stars because the lack of a microwave was a true bummer. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars for its price point.)

Nice and quiet and very close to the beach. Good price for the location and view. Staff was nice and friendly. I would definitely come back and stay here again on my next trip.

Positive: Price and location were awesome. It's still better than staying at a Motel 6 and it had amazing views. Negative: The rooms feel old. But it's ok, the price wasn't bad.

Location and view were beautiful. Walking distance to the beach. Our room had a great view of the beach. As with lots of hotels by the beach the room was pretty outdated. Carpet was filthy. The bed was horrible to sleep in. If you didn’t have back problems before you’ll have them by the time you leave. So soft you sunk into each other like you were in a hammock. Lol the restroom was also outdated. Toilet had a hissing sound from check in to check out. Sounded Like the facility had a plumbing leak. The shower felt as if you would fall in and creaked and shifted with movement. I felt like I was using an RV shower but that is being generous. Parking was horrible as well. Many work vans in parking so it made it difficult to park cars without fearing damage. Front desk staff were cool and profe

The young man at the check in was efficient and friendly. We like our room OK. Yes, it is dated. However, it is functional and overlooks the pool and the beach. It has a cute refrigerator and the bathroom is clean. Parking is free. The total cost for the room is about $180 on a holiday. It has two queen beds. It also has a huge television. Furthermore, it features a desk and two chairs.
