Cabanas at Kaneohe Bay

I recently stayed at the Cabanas at the Inns of the Corps on Kaneohe Marine Base and here are the things that I found were noteworthy to mention: To start, you have to check in at one location, then drive to the runway, go through another ID check, then to the cabanas. The cabanas and rooms have clearly seen better days. I was aware beforehand that there are no restrooms in the bedrooms, which was not a dealbreaker, but the communal bathrooms left something to be desired: one of two urinals was out of order & some shower stalls had warm water, but overall they got the job done. There were mosquitos flying around the bathroom. Access to the bathrooms is controlled by a key card. Inside the cabanas, the rooms are well-equipped with clean beds, a fridge, microwave, sink, coffee maker, TV,

I would not recommend this place at all. It was extremely dirty and unsanitary. The shared restrooms were a nightmare—they clearly don't get cleaned often. There were poop stains in the shower, and it was absolutely disgusting. On top of that, the women's area was left in a mess with dirty towels and clothes scattered everywhere. If you're going to offer shared cabanas, there NEED to be strict rules and regular cleaning to keep the environment livable. Totally unacceptable. Only good thing was the ocean view

If you ever served in military, you get it! This place is a hidden gem. The rooms have everything you need. The staff is great! I don’t mind communal showers at all. Waking up on Kaneohe Bay for the first morning cup of Lion Coffee is priceless. I go every month for at least a couple of days and love it!

What a gem within Oahu. You won't find a more reasonable accomodation within Hawaii that is this peaceful, relaxing and close to a really nice stretch of private beach on Kaneohe Bay. Beautiful to just sit by the water and enjoy the sunset after a long day of playing Hawaii tourist.

The Cabanas meet our needs. Clean room, AC, WiFi, ect…. Very budget friendly. Saved a ton of money staying here, which enabled us to maximize opportunities to explore/tour Oahu. Ocean is foot steps away from your door. Kids had a blast playing there in the morning before heading out, and again at night before bed. Stayed 5 nights, no issues & would stay again.
