Now, when I say "charming," I mean it in the way one might call a drill sergeant "charming." We were greeted not by a friendly host, but by a laminated (+), font-heavy manifesto titled "Cabin Commandments (-)." From the moment we crossed the threshold, it became clear that our primary purpose was not to relax, but to follow the rules. Rule #1: "Clean and Replace." Rule #7, my personal favorite: "The fire is for ambiance only. Do not, under any circumstances, poke, prod, or otherwise antagonize the logs." But the instructions were everywhere. We had a good time all the way up to the moment of getting my $400 deposit back. Jeff the owner and Brett the manager don't answer the phone and don't respond to e-mails. The pic below is from cleaning the counter top in the kitchen before we used it.

Such an unpleasant experience. Submitted my request and never received the link to submit payment. I tried getting in contact leaving voicemails for the next couple of days and only got the owner who kept referring me to the person that did the reservations. Well finally received a text because they stated the call wouldn’t go through but wouldn’t even try calling my second line. Took hours to the next day to reply till there was no more availability. Once I said I was leaving a review they started texting back almost immediately and trying to explain everything I’d been asking for. But the cabin was already booked. Oh my gosh. What a paradise and an amazing experience for someone looking to slowly dip their toes in the slow life and give it a try. From the heating system to the porch, this place has a charm that is literally magical. The owner is amazingly kind and down to earth and honestly made the experience that much more awesome. I've stayed here twice now and I'm sure it's going to become a tradition.

I liked the area very much but the management stinks. We paid a pretty high price for the place. It was pretty dirty when we got there, talking years of sticky grunge on the table. We did not realize that our small children would not be safe upstairs till we got there, there is a loft uptairs at the tiny dome with no railing. Why not tell us when I tell you the ages of the kids that are coming? The pull out couch was broken downstairs and I had to do a makeshift fix so our kids could sleep. The kitchen table had a broken leg that fell apart when I was sweeping. Luckily my kids were outside. screen door was broken, doors didn't open and shut well. I left the place cleaner than when we got there and was charged a cleaning fee (WHEN I WAS THE ONE CLEANING THE PLACE) . I told the manager about
