Beautiful spot under the mountains and besides a prairie with the train running by. Right off the highway and super close to Glacier (Two Medicine entrance only 15 minutes away). Highly recommend for a superb spot close to the park. No running water, but clean pit toilets and security throughout the night on site. Tent and RV sites with electric, free wifi that reaches the sites.
This place is okay. I mean, the location is really, I guess, what makes it valuable, being that it's right outside of East Glacier, or two medicine. But like other reviewers have said, be warned of the trains. I stayed here over a week, and the weekends, the trains are crazy. One of the nights on Friday to Saturday, from 5pm to 3am, was 25 trains. During the week, the train noise isn't that bad. Some of them are loud, some of them have horns that they fire off, but for the most part during the week, it's pretty calm, and you can actually get some sleep. So as far as Glacier National Park is concerned, if you're visiting the east side, be warned that it's at minimum an hour drive to the two northern entrances of the east side of Glacier National Park. Which considering how much availabilit
Easy enough to make a reservation, but there is no way to cancel. You can't do it thru the site where you booked it, you have to contact the campground. Email kicks back "undeliverable" and the phone number is disconnected.
Wide open spaces. Train tracks run behind campsite and highway on otherwise, bit it's still a quiet site at night. Level sites, some have water and electric, some just have electric. Some 20, 30, and even some 50 amp sites. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would stay here again next time visiting park (GNP).
It was ok. It is still in the development stages. Power only.
