Budget inn Tarboro

decent pricing, quiet, nice vanity, nice bathroom, good TV with several stations, great bed, OK parking, microwave, fridge, good location, lighting good, internet with weak security, nice clerk, old building, nice front desk clerk. Could use a little more repairs/attention. No stopper in sink or bathtub. Weak microwave had to be changed out since it stopped working. Needed to ask for TV remote. Toilet handle quit working after 1st night.

This place is a dump. It needs to be torn down. Very dirty and we absolutely did not feel safe!!! We had to pay for one night and we didn't even stay because it was so bad. There was illegal activity going on behind the motel. We seen it several times while there. The front office smelled like raw sewage! Do not stay here! Very filthy , run down, and unsafe. And it looks nothing like the pics online. False advertising.

My daughter and I came to get rest here at 2am on Sunday for 80$ two beds. Opening the door the light switch did not work, we had to use our phones to get to the lamp next to the bed to get some lighting but one of the bulbs did not work and seem to have a short in it. The Ac/heating unit was gunked with dust, black dust. The beddings has cigarette burn marks and the room smelled like a heavy smoker. The bed side table had a film on it that tmade our fingers stick with whatever it was. The same for the headboards, cabinets and desk, even the door handles did in the room. The sink area outlets did not work, nor did the plugs or light switches. There was a lamp with no shade that was plugged up behind the mini fridge (which was spotless inside and outside of it.) The lamp was the only light

You get what you pay for. Inexpensive and may smell a bit odd. Bed and shower was alright. Wi-Fi was not good at all. Very close to the highway, a place to eat and a gas station, so that's great.

I reserved a room in this Budget Inn in Tarboro. The hotel really represents the name, It' s cheap hotel, with a room not very clean. The lamps did not have light bulbs and the restroom was out of toileted paper. The bath towels were very small and a little stained. Although the lady in charge were very responsive and solved some of the issues, this hotel should have a better cleaning and service job for the rooms. The pictures on the web page don't represent the reality of the hotel.
