Budget Inn

When traveling from Augusta to Savanna, Ga the most direct route is not the interstate, and when it's after midnight, the number of motel choices are limited. Ever since I was a little kid traveling with my parents in the car on vacation, we always drove by the the little road side motel for the more expensive big box hotel. With always a few shingles missing, and a few shutters hanging a little crooked, I have spent countless hours dreaming about what these roadside motels must have looked like during their glory days, before the birth of the interstates that all but sidelined the mom and pop motels of days gone by.||||It has been awhile since the Dreamland motel was at the top of its game, but all the years of little fixes are evident as you sit in your bed and try to take it all in. The

Rude staff, roaches in rooms “because they sprayed outside and they came inside I was told”. Cheap place to stay but loud at night people slamming doors and hanging out outside. Don’t watch the staff clean because it would make you NEVER want to stay there!

Motel really old and outdated. Room was pretty run-down. There was no dead-bolt and the security chain was broken. Just to feel safe, I had to prop a chair on the door, Old furniture in the room. No wifi signal. There was a restaurant next door but it looked like it was only open for dinner and supper. There are several better motels in the town proper near the McDs.

There are not many motels in this small town and after driving a bit, I found this motel. It was worth the drive. For a single person and for a night's stay, this place is not that bad. Very affordable rate! But you get what you paid for. If you're looking for a bed, TV and a shower for one night stay...this place is very affordable

Would give 5 stars but we have had to switch rooms per management because of leaks they wanted to fix. Other than that amazing owner!
