Black Creek Scout Reservation

Our troop had planned to go backpacking on Cumberland Island, but the ferry was closed so we had to pivot. The staff here went out of their way to accommodate us and the kids had a great time. This is an awesome facility. The climbing wall and zip line were highlights for the kids.

The Statesboro High JROTC cadets spent one week at the Black Creek Scout Reserve. The kids had the most wonderful time during the entire time in the heat rain storm. They were able to experience fishing, swimming, archery, shooting BBs, sling shot, rappelling and confidence courses. They spent more time outside in one week than in their entire life. The kids forgot all about cell phones and electronics and slept in tents. The Black Creek staff is amazing with support food and anything that needed to be fixed or anything we needed. It was an amazing time for all the kids they left happy and fulfilled.

It is such a wonderful camp ground and the lake is gorgeous we had fun swimming and kayaking in it and the zip lining is super fun!

What a fun time we had today!! Kayaking, archery, shooting, High ropes course, climbing wall, zip line into water and swimming was all SO fun!! The food was also delicious and everyone went above and beyond to make sure our Army unit event was fun. We had 7 kids 9 and under there and it was simply a blast for them to get muddy and wet (it rained a lot) and just be uncomfortable in an outdoorsy setting. Thank you to the staff there!

I had an amazing opportunity to meet the camp Ranger Jacob with Coastal Georgia Council, Scouting America. Black Creek is an amazing camp - the facilities are beautiful and the camp is set up perfectly for Scouts attending Summer Camp, events, or just going camping for the weekend.
