Budget Inn

Truck stop showers were down so I called “hotel” to see if I could pay $20 to use the shower in one of the rooms that hadn’t been cleaned yet. Because I was desperate owner jacked price to $25. Ok. I was going to pay and had to use my own towels. Walked over, went to pay, and then he needed my id for some reason to shower in a dirty room. I asked for my money back. Due to the reviews of this place(bedbug infested roach motel) I didn’t trust owner holding my cdl. He called me a scammer and homeless and said he was going to call the cops. Hope he does. If you are desperate enough that this place is your only option, I feel for you. If you have options, keep on driving down the road. Btw I rarely leave reviews on anything unless it is really good or really bad. Peace

Stumbled across this horror show of a motel when we stayed later than expected visiting friends and didn't want to drive home late. There were few reasonably priced vacancies in the area die to recent power outages from the hurricane. At $100 it seemed like a great last min find||...until we arrived. The main office had all kinds of junk in it. We turned to each other and questioned if we should stay? But it was late. We entered our room and both groaned in horror. Musty, dirty, creepy, seedy. Stains on everything, inside toilet, torn blanket. This has to be the worst motel I've ever stayed in. Don't get me started on the smell. I feel gross and violated having attempted to sleep there. Should have spent more and stayed elsewhere....would have been worth the price for not feeling so disgus

Manager was very friendly and accommodating. We had some issues during our road trip and had to stop for the night at 11 PM. Very cheap. Perfect for a quick stop.

The room smelled slightly moldy, bathroom old and out dated, water stains on ceiling, probably from leaks room above more of a place to crash for a night or two, wife and I crashed 1 night, didn't want to drive hour and half back home from our day trip.

I want to give a fair review. After reading other reviews we wanted to cancel our booking. We ended up staying as nothing else was available (peak season for foliage photography). In response to other reviews, here was our experience in room 207. First take it has older furniture, water marks, older comforter, and some blemishes with a slight mildew smell. Bed was clean. Sheets were new and clean. Not sulfur, but hard water is cause of rings and barely noticeable odor. Our tv was new. No bugs or pest. We had a good experience and want to relay that. The price, $160 is a LOT. However, this is peak season and I see it with supply and demand. I am sure offseason prices are more in tune with what you would expect.
