Easily accessible dispersed camping that is very close to Tuscon city limits. Camping is available on both the east and west side of Snyder hill. The only real downside is that it's extremely obvious BLM rangers do not patrol the area nor is the 14 day camping rule enforced. There are numerous abandoned vehicles that are being used by homeless people as well as others that are seemingly living their in cars. trailers, etc on a permanent basis. One 'permanent resident' near me spent each night (well in to the morning hours) loading his pickup truck with gravel from the hillside and hauling it out somewhere then coming back for more loads over and over again. Also quite a significant amount of trash and broken glass in certain areas. All that said it is a convenient stop for a few nights if

Pretty busy, we spent a couple of hours cleaning our area up. Folks are quiet at night and later the traffic quiets down.

We spent 2 solid weeks here, our first time in our RV. It was about 20-25 miles away from a city, store, and drinking water. Come fully equipped. We tried to set up a screen room cause the flies were horrendous but it was too windy. At one point another camper stopped by to help put up an umbrella and introduce himself. First time in the Sonoran desert will be our last.

Free camping, easy access from Tuscon. We had a disaster as we approached the entrance. Both left rear tires of our bus shredded about 100 feet before we entered the park. It was late. We limped into the entrance of the park and pulled off the road, by the bulletin board. We slept right there in the entrance to the park, and no one bothered us. In the morning I took a wheel from the passenger side and put it on the driver's side, so we could limp to a tire shop. We came back and camped the following night. A few folks were running generators, but it was still quite peaceful. Lots of nicely shaded areas to camp. No trash receptacles or rest rooms. Camp sites are pretty level.

Just as expected. Quiet and a few people. Does seem to be a place some homeless live and some people didn't follow taking everything with them when the left.
