Such a great place to bring family, friends, or even coworkers. Every staff interaction we had was excellent, with several people truly standing out. Dan from the rental shop was fantastic to work with. He adjusted my skis to match my ability level and had no issue readjusting them when I returned—friendly, patient, and professional throughout. I really appreciated him taking the time to make sure everything was right. Ricky was an outstanding instructor for my family. He worked incredibly well with the kids, and even after the lesson ended, we saw him skiing on his own time while stopping to check in on guests and offer helpful tips. If you can put up with the smell of sulfur emitted from the local paper mill, are an intermediately skilled ski/snowboarder who desires less crowded trails filled with glades then Black Mountain is perfect. They hosted state high school ski races this past Friday and was fun to watch! Appears to be a great community running the facility...

Returned to enjoy the snow tubing with daughter and her friend. We grabbed some lunch before tubing and it was nice to find good food that caters to all ages at a reasonable price- pizza, chicken fingers, burgers. The tubing was fast which we liked, the rule is you have to use your boots to slow down or else you’ll be in danger of going to far(bags in place to stop people). Would love more paths to snowtube, maybe one that swerves at a reduced speed. Still fun and Tom at ticket booth accepted expired tickets for school, great customer service.

Super cool mountain, everyone was delightful, highly recommend this place for ski adventures. They also have live music some nights and tubing!

Great skiing on fun skiing trails. Nice snow making, friendly staff. The only draw back we saw was high food prices at the café. The pub was a good apre spot.
