Birch Lakes Resort

Review is for the restaurant. I'm actually moving over all of my Yelp review and will no longer use that platform. Copy/paste below is that review but I've been here dozens of times since and ALWAYS have a great experience. Don't miss their bacon cheeseburger if your a bacon lover. First time in but I'll be back! Sat at the bar and had a well-poured cocktail followed by the bartender's suggestion for the burger in the pic I posted. A great choice! Big, beefy flavor and cooked perfectly. A nice char plus the right blast of salt & pepper made it a great burger even before they heaped on the blue cheese and sautéed onions. Girls trip - Long weekend getaway, this resort was perfect for us. Cabin was very comfortable and very clean. Nicely equipped with everything you need in the kitchen. Having the bar and grill there was convenient, but holy cow- the food was amazing. Burgers and Wings are the specialty and we can see why. Live music out on the deck Sat and Sun brought in the crowds, so we ordered our food to go and enjoyed it on our deck overlooking the lake. Music was late afternoon to early eve- so it was not a disruption at all. Relaxing atmosphere with families enjoying this little gem in the woods of Wisconsin. We went to watch the band. The Sixes were great! Waitstaff was awesome! It was a great time and beautiful day.

Our cabin definitely needed some tlc. The refrigerator door shelf would come undone many times a day spilling everything stored in the door all over the floor. We were unable to use the outside deck because of hundreds of tiny worms/catapillars falling from the tree. They would fall in our food, drinks & hair. The bedding didn't smell clean. The cabins size would be more suitable for 2 ppl, not 4 adults. The man in the neighboring mobile home would yell, yes yell at his dog multiple times a day, using multiple profanities. Poor dog. We took our lawn chairs to sit by the water because we couldn't use our deck only to find goose poop landmines everywhere. The water by the docks was extremely mucky & topped with algea. A fantastic place to sit on the deck enjoying the view of the lake. Burgers are awesome. Last week had the Taco burger (messy but great) and this week I had the Swiss and mushroom burger. I've never seen that many mushrooms on a burger! $3.00 off burgers on Tuesday along with drink specials. We made a special trip to come back this week. Jocelyn is a great waitress with an outstanding personality and never let our drinks go empty. Its a must stop!
