Big Chetac Resort

Hubby and I stayed here middle of September. Met Jerry upon arrival to cabin 7 (not waterfront )which we had booked for 3 nights. Jerry walked and talked with us and showed us a couple of vacant waterfront cabins. We decided to change our stay to waterfront cabin 3. Was impressed when we toured as you could immediately tell they cared for and took care of the cabins. Very clean upon arrival. Umbrella for shade on the deck. All though we did not use the charcoal grill I did check it and can honestly say have never rented a space that had a grill that clean, no ashes in the bottom, clean racks and so on. Checked in with Steve in the office. Steve was very accommodating. What a great run family resort, very apparent they care about their guests.

Another year and another amazing trip at Big Lake Chetac Resort! The weather was beautiful and the fishing was exceptional. My oldest son (9) had a string of 15 straight minutes of hauling in slabs of blue gill on each cast. The pontoon rental again is a must to fish and enjoy some quality time on the lake with the whole family. Sue and Jerry are there whenever you need them and always provide top notch service. The eagles and loons were also amazing to see. The boys loved the kayaks, and paddle boards. The put fresh sand into the swimming area which made the swimming even that much better! We will continue to come back and are even thinking of making a Fall trip! Til next year!

This will be my fourth year to Big Chetac resort and every year is better than the last. The owners are phenomenal, the views unforgettable and just a wonderful atmosphere. Beautiful comfortable cabins. My husband has been going here for 15 years, that says a lot. We will keep going as long as we are able.

We did a last second pontoon rental for two days staying near the resort at an Airbnb. The owner Steve was incredibly nice and knowledgeable about the lake. Would highly recommend the resort and rental service!

This is our third year staying at Big Chetac Resort. We have a big extended family and we have a blast swimming in the lake, fishing off the dock and from the pontoons, the kiddos play in the game room if the weather doesn't cooperate and it is close enough to other area attractions if we need a break from all the relaxing on the lake! The family that owns the resort is very friendly and helpful!! Thank you for the lifetime of memories.... My kids have a countdown till next year's vacation.....
