Big South Fork Lodge & Horse Campground

We stayed here for 2 nights, with 4 people. Rooms were immaculate and spacious. The bathroom was large and the showers were wonderful. The beds are very comfortable. Our room had a microwave, small fridge and a single serve coffee maker. We loved the rockers on the front porch and the view of the horses across the street. The owner was very nice and helpful with recommendations to local restaurants and things to do in the area. We thought it was a great location to all the hiking trials, to James, TN and Oneida, TN. We would definitely stay here again.

The Big South Fork Lodge was perfect for my stay. The location was exactly where I wanted to be. The room I stayed in was cozy, as well as extremely clean and tidy. Traveling alone keeps me on my toes and observant, but I felt very safe at this location. Becky was also very kind in lending me some of her hiking books and map, so that I was prepared to head out the next morning for some hiking before I headed home. A very hospitable stay and definitely somewhere that would be at the top of my list to stay again when I return to the area.

We are repeat customers and this is our 4th year of staying at the BSF Lodge and Horse Camp ground. We LOVE it here! The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable!! The room is large and spacious and the bathroom is spotless!! Becky is wonderful and very accommodating. We will never stay anywhere else. Highly recommend!!!

Do not miss this. The rooms were immaculate, the proprietor went out of her way to be helpful with nearby attractions and it was one of the coolest places I have ever had the pleasure of staying. Google Maps wasn't very helpful about things to do around the area so I only stayed one night believing there to be a scarcity in nearby outings. However, this is a location you could easily use as a base for a couple of nights if you're interested in seeing the natural beauty that abounds in TN/ KY.

This was a great stay for visiting Big South Fork National River, Pickett CCC State Park, and Pogue Creek Canyon State Natural Area. Just a 10-15 minute drive to the entrances to most activities, 20-25 minute drive to both Jamestown and Oneida for food and supplies, beautiful dark skies, horse country, and everything you need in a lodge from a clean comfy bed and bathroom, place to sleep and eat or recharge. I would recommend this place and definitely state here again.
