Big Oak Campground

We have had our lot here since 2019. We love it here. As far as the lady questioning people living there from previous review. To correct her, we pay rent year round, whether we use it or not, people on the back row are on a waiting list to get lakefront lots. So like everything else, some times you have to take the next best and be patient. Work your way to the front. And yes, people have been part of this campground for 30 plus years, that should tell anyone questioning the integrity of the owners. Would you stay somewhere 30 years if it was a dump. Early Spring it probably does look a little rough, but trust me, by the end of April It’s cleaned up. It’s a fish camp, it doesn’t have a pool, there’s a huge lake to swim in. Cheapest camp ground around. But you get what you pay for. I've never been in the "Camp Store" because it just looks sketchy. You're responsible for maintaining the grass for your lot. Some areas are really nice others are trashy, just depends on the person staying there and how well they take care of the area. The owners of the grounds don't really do any up keep. Limbs will be down in the road way for weeks at a time. Big pot holes where the gravel has washed out and was never replaced.

Everyone was polight and helpful.very clean.and hospitable. You've got to go there the waterfall is breathtaking.and also have kiack rental there to.good fishing, awesome swimming and boat launches.
