Big Country Hotel & Suites, a Best Western Surestay Collection Boutique Hotel

I had such a great experience at Big Country Hotel in Abilene! The staff was super friendly and made me feel really welcome from the moment I checked in. The room was clean, comfy, and had everything I needed. The bed was cozy, and the whole place felt quiet and relaxing. Breakfast was good, and the location was super convenient — close to everything but still nice and peaceful. You can tell they really take pride in keeping the hotel nice and taking care of their guests. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Abilene!

Positive: Clean big rooms and well maintained Negative: Used this several times but there is always something not working. This time it was the new ice machine and the Wifi internet was out and had been for several weeks, Did not need to work remote this time but have in the past. This will be our last visit

I would leave a 0 here if it were an option. 1. Update - as the response from the hotel is inaccurate: I was never given the option to not accept the room. 2. I was not offered anything when I left the hotel, not another room or accomodations. My only concern at that time was a clean bed and wifi. I booked this hotel through the state travel site to attend a conference. When I arrived, I was told the Wi-Fi was out—even though it was advertised and required for an online meeting I was hosting in less than 2 hours. The young front-desk clerk didn’t know what to do, couldn’t suggest where I could find Wi-Fi, and wouldn't ask the manager, saying “she probably wouldn’t know anything either.” Reluctantly I felt I had no choice but to check in, the hotel tried to charge my card three times

So the hotel is beautiful. It's very clean. The staff is very nice. I booked a room through my United app when I booked my airline tickets picked my room out did a little research then hit the purchase button. I got to the hotel checked in the nice woman Diane behind the counter helps us. We then go up to our room and we cannot open our door. So I go downstairs and talk to Miss Diane she then informs me that that room key does not work so that when we come and go we will have to be let in our room every time buy an employee. So then the thermostat wasn't working and it was hot in the room so I went back downstairs. Ms Diane then takes me up to 303 instead of a king bed it's two beds but at least the room's cool so I take it but again the room key card thing does not work we still are havin
