Best Western Port Lavaca Inn

TV barely works. WiFi didn’t work at all. Breakfast was sad and boring, even for a hotel. One waffle maker with a long wait, soft grainy apples, no bread for toast, completely stale cereal. Staff was not helpful, but was kind. They’re trying, but aren’t equipped to be successful. Hallways were dirty. Hairs in/on the bed. Want soap? You can push a button for .5 grams at a time. Pipes and AC both made lots of noise that creeped out the kids. Honestly, the bed was really comfortable.

Moldy smell. Motel 8 vibe. Pocket door missing that separates the room in the “suite”. Suite was not so sweet!|Carpet was all dingy and dirty. Slides or slippers are a must. |Shower is a hazard|No curtains to darken the room or avoid someone from looking in.

Positive: IT WAS RIGHT ON THE MAIN STRIP, THE BREAKFAST WAS GOOD AND ON TIME, THE OITSIDE HAD A NICE PAINT JOB THE GYM WAS IN ORDER, THE STAFF WAS FRIENDLY.THE BEDS WERE VERY COMFORTABLE, THE PILLOWAS WERE VERY GOOD. THE ROOMS WERE CLEAN. Negative: THE CARPET NEEDS TO BE CHANGED OUT, IT HAD A VERY MUSTY SMELL. THE SMELL OF CURRY IN THE HALLWAY WAS VERY STRONG.

Place is rundown. Elevators were broken. Hallways are gross. The doors are old and don’t close unless you physically push/pull them. Breakfast was subpar at best. Not enough money flow to maintain the rooms/hotel. Ac struggled to keep room cool, ceiling fan left on the entire time to circulate humidity. No shower pressure, no shampoo or conditioner in the wall dispensers. Would not recommend.

My experience at this hotel was absolutely wonderful! The swimming pool was a highlight, offering a refreshing and enjoyable space to relax. The breakfast served each morning was delightful, with a great selection of tasty options to kickstart the day. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant experience throughout my stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay. It truly exceeded my expectations!
