Customer Reviews
My wife read about Indianola Beach in a novel by Elizabeth Crook—and it was one of our favorite stops! Never knew we had camels imported here lol. Also loved how quiet and clean it was and seeing the offshore drilling rig while facing into that salty breeze.
This was a Beautiful experience!! The beaches are very clean and there are areas to camp, build sandcastles and play games!! If you are able to get there in time you have to pavillion with table and chairs and BBQ pit and guess what its free! You can camp here for 14 days for free !! There are restrooms and they are not the best but they flush and have running water to wash your hands, so it's sufficient for the purpose but bring toilet paper!! Family outing and we enjoyed it!!
The lost forgotten beach town in Texas but still stands ahead with a great deal of history. La Salle, a french explorer landed here think this to be north of Mississippi river but infact its the matagorda bay. Place is a ghost town and underdeveloped. Not much to see around except this landmark. Recommended to visit before sunset. Also no cafe or shops around. Takes 30mins from Port Lavaca.
Hard shell beach with adequate amount of sand to offset it. The shells are smoothed out near the water and there is enough shoreline to sit in the water where the waves meet. These pictures were taken north of Indianola beach - where Magnolia ends and Indianola begins. If you head north past Indianola on your right, and past the concrete fishing slabs (a long row of blocks on the ground), you'll see some beach front areas you can drive on to. There are restrooms at either beach further down the road in either direction. We were there April 3rd and it was very windy; the water was around 75 degrees and it was in the high 70s - all of this made for a surprisingly cold experience and we could not get warm in the water no matter how long we stayed in, so please be advised.
This was nice beaches… it’s a great spot for swimming and fishing
