Best Western Plus New Ulm

I was very surprised at the size of my room, very spacious and the heat works wonderfully. Room is very clean and bright, plenty of lights around. Carpeting everywhere and the breakfast is enjoyable. I defiantly enjoyed my stay.

Stayed here one night for an immediate family member’s funeral. We had to be at a visitation service for family by 3:00, which is the same time as check in. Since we’d been traveling, we asked if we could check in at 2:30 and indicated we needed to be at a funeral event in town at 3:00. We were told that we could, but there would be a $25 charge for early check-in, which was 20% of what I paid for the entire stay! For 30 minutes! And the place was maybe 10% full that night. Said “No, thanks” and changed in the bathroom of the funeral home. The rooms are tired and desperately in need of a refresh; breakfast was a load of carbs and processed junk. Latte from the latte machine was awful. I could live with all that, but trying to charge me 20% of the room rate for 30 minutes of early check-in

I have never stayed anywhere where everyone was so nice! They were great to work with as we had to push out dates with sicknesses, and were so kind once we arrived. The breakfast was phenomenal and the pool was clean and warm! By far best hotel I've stayed at. Thank you Best Western of New Ulm!

Positive: "" Negative: There was a group of young baseball players (and their parents) staying here this weekend. Despite that, no one told us or sent us to the exterior rooms.? and instead put us in a poolside room. The kids and parents were SUPER loud and disrespectful.

The rooms were clean and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and did everything to make our stay pleasant. The best part of our stay was the quietness within the facility. On the first night, the BW was filled to capacity. It was quite full on the second night. On both evenings, we were amazed at the lack of noise! If you can't rest well and relax at the BW New Ulm, you won't rest well anywhere.
