Best Western Lapeer Inn

We honestly booked this hotel for the fact that it still has a hot tub, not too far away from home, good location close to a lot of restaurants a movie theater and shopping; but when we got down to the pool it was a huge disappointment to see the hot tub out of order and tarped up. We probably would've just saved money and went to open swim at the rec and then went home. This was our "valentine's day: kid edition" for our littles and while they still enjoyed it, we all could've slept peacefully and enjoyed our activities for less.

Rented multiple rooms for an event. |1. Room mix up. Given "upgrade" but the room had dirty towels left behind in the tub. 2. Front sliding door worked half the time. Had to call front desk to get help to enter the main entrance!|2. Second room had mold in the shower.|3. Theft in public area of hotel. Management unable to help or followup despite filing a police report. The stay cost more than just the rooms unfortunately.|4. A positive - staff was friendly and did try to accomodate best they could.|Overall, I would not stay here again, even if required travel time to go elsewhere.

Breakfast is decent, has a small Gameroon. Booked through the main website and had trouble getting the right room switched, paid for king, got two smaller beds. Disabled shower kiss great everything else is very short, understandably. Update-2nd stay paid for king got two smaller beds, hotel couldn't make changes because they are a "franchise". Lady was very rude about it.

Positive: Large tv in the room and it was spacious Negative: Breakfast wasn't great and the floors were sticky. The food wasn't what I expected .. people were smoking right outside the entrance into the hotel .

We came to celebrate our 23rd wedding anniversary. Expected a normal room at normal check in. The sweet lady at the desk said we could check in at 1 pm today instead of 3 pm. I told her her thank you very much because it's our 23rd wedding anniversary and that was very very nice of her. When we arrived she informed us she was updating us to the whirlpool suite and wished us a happy anniversary. She is such a sweetheart. Best Western is all around a great hotel. No matter what city they are 95% of the time a joy to stay at. We are very impressed and grateful and will always stay at Best Westerns. Lapeer Best Western in Michigan is AWESOME ❤️❤️❤️
