Best Western George West Executive Inn

I’ve stayed at the Best Western In George West Tx several times over the years. The staff is amazing. I recommend anyone that is going to be in that area for work or hunting to stay there. You won’t regret it!!!

Rating: 1/5 This hotel was a disappointment from start to finish. Check-in was very slow, and although I booked through a third party, the credit card on file was incorrect. When I provided the correct card, I was charged again—meaning I was double charged. The front desk was nice. Upon entering the reception there was a dead cockroach on the floor. The front desk clerk mentioned there would be free breakfast in the morning, but when I returned the next day, the roach was still there. The breakfast itself was awful—the waffle tasted sour, the apple was mushy, and the apple juice was basically water. Not worth it. While the room initially looked decent, it wasn’t fully clean. The room was filthy! There were stains on the sheets ( I hope that was all it was!) and there were feces in the toilet. The room and the towels smelled terrible! The key cards were broken and you had to get the front desk to let you in so I couldn’t even go to the store to get cleaning supplies. To add insult to injury there wasn’t even coffee at breakfast! I requested a discount but they refused. Definitely DO NOT STAY HERE!

First off, this is a motel, not a hotel. I paid more than $110 for the room. I’m okay with an older facility, but for $110+I expect it to be clean. Doors and light switches were dirty, like they’d never been cleaned. A lot of men stay here and work in the area. They might have dirty hands, but, again, for $100+, you could at least wipe them down. Secondly, the toilet ran frequently, and the tank would not fill fully. I had to add extra water to the tank for it to flush. The shower valuing was black mildew stained. When I dried my hair with my own hair dryer, clods of dust were constantly falling down. I’m not sure where there were coming from—maybe the lamps above the sink. The coffee maker didn’t have the proper filter basket and was ill fitting. The bedding is not cotton. Th
