Best Western Ft. Lauderdale I-95 Inn

Definitely not a place you want to stay. The room was marginally clean, slight odor. No TV due to the Internet being down, towel bar is falling off the wall, missing refrigerator and coffee maker. Shower is barely tolerable, but you have to stand in water as the tub is very slow to drain. Breakfast was marginal. Staff were friendly, but did not seem to know what to do about the Internet and missing refrigerator, which we really needed. Granted, it’s close to the cruise port and airport, but spend a bit more money and you will be happy. Even the advertising on the elevator was 28 days out of date. Shows a total disregard by management..

From start to finish, this experience was bizarre and incredibly disappointing. The condition of our initial room was frankly deplorable — visibly dirty, poorly maintained, and nowhere near the standard you would expect when booking a hotel stay. We requested a room transfer, but unfortunately the second room showed little improvement. The overall property appears to be in serious need of a deep cleaning, thorough maintenance, and full renovation. Basic upkeep and cleanliness should never be a question when paying for accommodations, yet that was the primary issue throughout our stay. I strongly recommend staying elsewhere until significant improvements are made.

The hotel accomodated me on very short notice caused by flight cancellations due to air traffic controllers not coming to work. Navigation to & on-site parking was very easy and convenient. A WaWa nearby had great paninis. The area was safe. I was exhausted, and the front desk clerk patiently helped me & got me into a room speedily, and was incredibly pleasant. The lobby had a strong Febreeze smell, but the rest of the hotel was great. My room was perfectly clean. Had a nice TV channel selection, the usual amenities, and very very nice bedding. I would prefer larger pillows, but the 5 smaller ones in the king bed worked fine for a solo traveler. The shower was very clean, but I noticed the water-temp is a bit slow to respond when you change it... just be patient.||The graveyard-s

Positive: The room was very spacious and clean. Negative: Staff friendliness was lacking at first, but improved during our stay.

Only reason for 2 stars instead of 1 is because staff especially Mary was nice, very understanding, and heard out my complaint. The hotel is very worn down. Elevator has a expired inspection certificate. We got locked out from the inside of the room multiple times. The latch was loose so it swung on its own and kept hooking on if we closed door. It was very frustrating. Water pooled on the side of the tub anytime we took a shower. There was no phone in the room. Our tv remote didn't work and had to go to front desk twice in regards to it (went down thinking maybe batteries. Batteries were changed but still didn't work so back down we go and we were given a universal remote.) We didn't get to try breakfast as there were way too many people and only 'hot' options were eggs, sausage, oatmeal
