Customer Reviews
This place truly is fantastic. I have been in the business for 43+ years and the staff NAILS it. Everyone is pleasant, engaging, and so willing to assist. Hats of to the staff and the pride they show. The facility is newly renovated and has been tastefully appointed with all the comforts. The lounge/bar (Buck's) has a terrific beer selection, full bar with specials, excellent menu for a casual dinner, and superb staff of bartenders and service. We also had breakfast two mornings which did not disappoint. The staff really makes the place, but as for the hotel it is by far the nicest in the County.
We stayed here while on a trip up north to visit family. The hotel was recently renovated and was everything that we could have asked for. The lobby is warm and welcoming. The staff friendly and courteous. Our room looked brand new with lots of lighting and new carpeting. Comfortable king bed. Very quiet in the section where we stayed. The bathroom was small but adequate. The shower door was a half-door which allows water to get on the floor. A bit odd but plenty of water pressure available, well lit and very clean. We ate dinner across the street at a brewery. Great location as we could walk over there no problem. We had breakfast in the hotel. Really good food and outstanding service from the wait staff. Overall this place hits all of the marks. We will definitely stay there again on our
This is a welcome alternative to the years and years of theft and gouging along with rate manipulation that the Hampton Inn Presque Isle has been bestowing upon the travelers throughout Aroostook county. One thing to keep in mind these hotels are not just hosting ‘down’ staters like myself and out of staters, it’s also a lifeline for those in the county who need to travel for either work or even healthcare. I’ve stayed here twice and, yes, it’s basic. But it is clean, well maintained/freshly renovated, and there’s a huge bonus with a decent bar for dinner with delectable poutine for this side of the border. I found it to be a better experience than the brewery across the street haha. I am not tickled about there primarily only being first floor rooms, but to save over $125/night from
The guy behind the counter, well wasnt. He was wandering the hotel aimlessly. When he finally got back I inquired about a room as it was a snowstorm and was worried I wouldnt be able to make it to Van Buren. The ratty looking fellow told me $159 for one night. Its in the middle of nowhere and had tons of vacancies. Makes zero sense to me. Its nothing fancy at all. Just a basic little rinky dink hotel/motel with a face-lift. Worth nowhere near what they are asking. I am a master google reviewer and have stayed all over. This place is a $79 hotel max. Maybe $80 with breakfast included. No way will they ever get my business at that price. Dont go all out on renovations if you are just going to hand the bill to guest via outrageous pricing. Triple major cities with major attractions. NOW THEY
I was in Northern Maine checking out the area as this was the first duty station that my father was assigned to. I was hoping to check out the air museum, which is in the airport, but unfortunately it had bizarre hours and I would have to wait zero 0345 to 0700 hours to see the air museum. So as I was checking out the area, I noticed this best western and it was right next to a brewery to me. This is an awesome combination. I didn’t have a reservation, and I went up to the front desk and they gladly took care of me and gave me a room. The room was comfortable and Homie. The lobby had just been redone and they also have a fitness area and a bar and a restaurant. After going to the brewery for an appetizer and a beer, I returned to the hotel bar and had a phenomenal beat Salad and chicken st
