Best Western Canon City

Excellent service, very nice hotel. The room was beautifully decorated for my wife's birthday. It was a wonderful surprise. The prices are reasonable. The master bedroom is large and spacious with a private jacuzzi; everything is excellent for romantic and relaxing nights.

This place was awful. Apparently we booked a pet friendly room but come to find out, one of the front desk ladies said they’re all pet friendly rooms so changing rooms wasn’t up for debate. The sheets were dirty with pet and human hair and the lady gave me sheets to change myself but I wasn’t allowed to vacuum and their housekeepers were off. Still wasn’t allowed a room change. I checked in on Sunday and by Thursday my throat was swollen. I requested a room change on Thursday and the nice blonde lady was trying her best to accommodate me. The second room was clean but the heater was broken and the third room was again dirty. I took video of all three rooms but the management team here doesn’t seem to care. I couldn’t take the dirty and unpleasant people anymore and decided to check out and

We flew into Denver and traveled the state in a counter clockwise route.||The Best Western was the least expensive hotel of the 8 we stayed in during our 12 day adventure. ||It was what we expected, which is a good thing. It was on the lower end of the spectrum, but we arrived in the evening and were taking off the next morning. So a clean, quiet room with free breakfast was what we needed and that’s what we got. ||I would recommend it to families and budget conscious travelers. Nothing special, but it did the job!

Positive: All staff were very friendly and polite, a staff member was constantly cleaning and restocking breakfast area. Negative: The hot tub was out of order.

The room was clean when I arrived and had a fridge and microwave and a fairly comfortable bed; however, despite telling me they had daily maid service, they only cleaned the room 3 days out of the 7 nights I was there and I can't say it was cleaned very well as they only vacuumed one time and only in the center of the room - dirt and objects around the periphery were never vacuumed during my 7 day stay. They did good restocking towels when asked and soaps when they cleaned but only took the dirty towels out twice. They do have hot breakfast daily - either scrambled eggs or cheese omelets and link sausage or bacon. Plus they had cold breakfast available or you could make your own waffles. The front desk and breakfast staff were very friendly. I never saw the maids but they left a nice note
