Bearcat Mountain Lodge

Rented the cub cabin and it's deterred me from staying there in the future. Walked in and it immediately smelled like cigarettes, and the ac unit kept us up all night long for 4 nights. We tried to stay on the water as much as possible to avoid the noise. They really should had taken care of this prior to us arriving or during our stay when they knew it was an issue. Customer service was good, they brought us fans, collected garbage, helped set up a float trip(which i seriously appreciated), and made us aware of left behind items. Would recommend the larger cabin with a group of friends to bring down the costs.

Our cabin was immaculate. It was great to have a fully working kitchen and laundry room. The deck is where we spent most of our time as it was the perfect place to relax, enjoy the fresh air and listen to the bands playing at camp. And to top it all off, it's pet friendly! It truly doesn't get any better than that.

I virtually nothing negative to say about this place. It was spacious. Well maintained. Close enough to the river, via a short drive. The kitchen is stocked with everytl utensil you would need to cook for an extended stay. The hot tub was clean. Yeah, all in all I can definitely recommend this place. If I could rate it higher I would. The only thing I would make note of, is you probably want a higher sitting vehicle to get up to it. The very beginning of the road up is rather steep and there's a few potholes. But any decent truck would have no problem. I was able to get up and find in my Nissan Sentra by just going slow and being careful. But it's definitely just something to make note of.

Stayed at the lodge twice now. Its huge. Its also nice and clean. Very pretty. Lodge is pretty well stocked with kitchen utensils and cookware. Very friendly staff and very accommodating. Hard to find. GPS doesn't work! Screen shot their directions on the website and use them.

We had us a great time here. We come every year and unless they sell the place, i don't see that changing... I just wish it was closer to the river.. it takes about 4-5 minutes to drive down to the river from where the cabins are located.
