Beacon Pointe on Lake Superior

I have a new favorite hotel in Duluth and it’s Beacon Pointe! I have always stayed in Canal Park for location but Beacon Pointe was amazing. So quiet and private and still on the lake walk. Not real easy to walk to as many places like in Canal Park but the hotel and staff made it worth it. I was greeted by Carol the rooms manager when I checked in and she could not have been more friendly or helpful. Beacon Pointe isn’t your typical hotel so there’s a few instructions to figure out such as parking and entrances etc. We had one of the Penthouse units and can’t imagine staying in anything else. Superb views of the lake from living room, deck and “Jacuzzi” room. Unfortunately deck wasn’t shoveled in the winter so we weren’t able to enjoy but it looked fabulous. We had an excellent stay at Beacon Point and are looking forward to another stay in the future. We were especially impressed with the warm hospitality shown by the front desk staff. We interacted with three of them during our stay and they were all so kind and helpful! We were very impressed with our lakefront view. Definitely worth it! We woke up to the sound of the lake lapping on the shore. So peaceful! The room was clean and well maintained. We also loved the sauna and pool! A relaxing combo to start the day. Overall, we were very impressed with the quality of our stay and will definitely book again.

Positive: Staff was wonderful and welcoming. Location is great and private. Rooms are private. Negative: Except for Lakewalk not easily walkable.

We stayed at the Beacon Pointe hotel Feb 2026. We really enjoyed our stay. I was very comfortable, cozy and quiet. The rooms were clean and offered a little kitchenette which was nice to have. The basement parking was extremely nice due to it being cold out. We also enjoyed the lake view and privacy. We definitely plan to stay there again. Its a nice experience and highly recommend it.

This is a beyond beautiful place to stay! The rooms are wonderful and the Lake views are amazing! We had our family Christmas here. Plenty of room to have fun. Kids enjoyed the pool and we'll as space in the rooms to enjoy their toys. A cozy fireplace to give a nice cozy feel also. The beds are great. I could have slept a long time if we did not have a 2 year old with. Jetted tub in all of our 3 rooms! The staff is all very friendly. The manager Carol is fun to chat with! Travis also took very good care of any needs we had.
