Beachside Resort Hotel

Pros: Great location and price. Loved there was a full size refrigerator. They had 3 beds available, which was a good find for the family. The pool was unique because it was on top of the carport. The receptionist up front was very helpful. They allowed us to have an early check in. Plenty of parking and restaurants, beach, and shops are within walking distance. ||Cons: We stayed with family that had to move rooms twice due to bugs on the bed, which was extremely concerning. Housekeeping seemed to be understaffed and we had to ask for items like towels as needed. The High Tides Bar was closed down for the season.

Positive: the location and 'family feel" of this hotel is above and beyond. Though an older property, they appear to try to keep it very clean and inviting. The rooms themselves are updated but need some fixtures fixed. Staff was fast when asking for assistance Negative: we had an issue with our first room being far too humid and it caused slippery/wet flooring inside the room The HUGE downside is that a "coffee cafe/ice cream" shop isn't open when needed (no breakfast - no after dinner). why open if you can't service ?

Reception staff were wonderful. Very friendly and helpful. You could tell it was an older building though. Some rusty fixtures and places on the wall that needed painting. Our room was clean, even the floor. But ny relatives' room was a bit dirty and the fridge had a funky smell. Would have been nice to have had a box of tissues. But overall, we liked the place and would stay again.

We had a spur of the moment moment and just decided to take off with no specific plans on where to go. We ended up at Gulf Shores late at night and in a whim stopped at this hotel. Let me tell you… I was pleasantly surprised! Our room was comfortable, the bed was sooo comfy! The hotel is an older hotel but it is very clean. All the staff we interacted with were very friendly and nice. I was very happy with the pricing. Will never understand why some will pay so much for a hotel room that is used mainly just for sleep. I would rather use that money for entertainment purposes! If and when we get back to Gulf Shores this will be my hotel of choice over a fancy high priced hotel any day!

Enjoyed my no frill stay. The room was clean and well furnished. Coffee was available all day, and the pool was just outside my door. The sad part was that although I was beach facing the hotel was on the opposite side of main drag along the beach and the view was looking between the buildings on the beach side. Overall a great place...not the Ritz or Hilton but provided all things I wanted
