If you are looking for a hotel that takes “roughing it” to Olympic levels, look no further. I stayed here in June 2025 and everything in my review is based on that visit, with photos to support each detail. My goal is to help others make an informed decision. Cleanliness: The first room I was assigned had not been cleaned, which the staff acknowledged and did move me from. The second room was “made up” but still had visible cracks, peeling paint, mold on the lampshades, rust on fixtures, and exposed wires in the walls. If you’ve ever thought, “Gee, I wonder what it’s like to sleep inside a dumpster that’s trying to be a hotel,” Beach Terrace has you covered. Literally. With filth. On top of filth.||The drapes? Tattered enough to qualify as Halloween décor. The tiled floors? They’ve got so much grime built up, I think it’s legally considered sedimentary rock at this point. The sinks are cracked, the tub doesn’t drain (so enjoy your ankle-deep swamp water), and one outlet had fully escaped from the wall like it was trying to save itself.||The pool features massive rust stains that could double as modern art. Bonus feature: one rust patch managed to slice open a child’s foot—because apparently tetanus shots are part of the “amenities package.” The hot tub? Positive: The location was the only good thing about the place Negative: It was dirty, run down and the bathroom had water dripping from the light fixture. The ceiling tile was hanging down and you could see visible mold. The bath supplies were junk and the pool was crusty.

I really wish I would have read the Google reviews of this place before booking. The place is very outdated the drawers were all broken on dressers the shower was clearly not cleaned with long black hair on the walls and floor. The ceiling tiles in bathroom are pushed up and broken. The floor was dirty. The 2 pools that they list and kiddy pool is actually 1 pool with a small corner of it fenced off apx 5 x 10 are that is for little ones. The 2 hot tubs if you consider 81degrees hot only one was working the other one was covered up. When I asked about it they said it had just broke the day before and parts were ordered but after seeing reviews it has been this way for awhile. There are no bathrooms in the lobby area or pool area so you wonder how many take the time to go back to their room

I have to say I'm surprised how much my family is liking this place. From check in and the male receptionist checking us in early due to my son's medical conditions, to the location of the hotel. We like this hotel for two reason the kids have their own space and we have ours. Is the room perfect, no but it's pretty good. A new lamp shade and some paint and it would be great. Let's remember it's wildwood motel, the pool looks great we can walk to the boardwalk, people are friendly. So no complaints.
