Baymont by Wyndham Santee

We stayed here on a Friday into a Saturday, on our way down to Orlando, FL from North Carolina. I wanted to split the trip up a little and decided on staying in Santee. The room was affordable and we got a king-sized bed. When I checked in, I got comprehensive directions on where to park and how to get to my room, which was appreciated. Unfortunately I did forget how to get to the room and had to go a few different ways to find it, but eventually, I did find it! The room smelled nice and was very clean. The pillows were interesting, as they were half-sized pillows. If I’m being honest, I don’t think they helped me sleep well. They also have a microwave and a fridge/freezer combo which I thought was super cool. Most places I’ve been to only have a refrigerator. The door felt a little iffy b

Stayed here for one night while on the road with my family. We checked in late so everyone was tired and slept in. At 8:30 in the morning housekeeping was knocking on the door. Thankfully we had just woken up but it would be nice if they waited till we checked out. Bed was comfortable however the room was a little rough. Based on reviews this place seemed like the best of the lower priced options in town. Wouldn’t take much to separate itself from them before becoming more like one of them.

Positive: Clean and well maintained. TV had many good channels and it worked without any difficulties. WiFi was easy to access and had good speed. The AC unit was adjustable and worked well, though a bit loud. Negative: Water pressure on the sink was VERY low. Breakfast offering was disappointing.

My husband chose this as we were driving to visit family. I had my doubts when I saw it was basically a motel with outside entrance. However, the price was good and the room was clean. The nice king size bed was comfortable. It wasn’t anything fancy and the bathroom could use a little repair. Breakfast was ok but I don’t usually eat breakfast anyway. I would stay here again overnight but probably not for more than that. I like that the floor wasn’t nasty carpet but some of the wood laminate was starting to curl slightly. Still a good deal.

We travel from Jersey to Florida stopped in Sentee SC at midnight. The holiday Inn wanted $200, I called the Baymont and spoke with Latoya who had a friendly personality where she said their rate was $80! We went right over the room was contemporary it served a purpose. It had a bed with a pillow top, I slept and a hot shower in the morning. Continental breakfast. Service was friendly and welcoming.
