Baymont by Wyndham Punta Gorda Port Charlotte

My flight was arriving in very late. They gave me a reservation with a late arrival. Lobby, Breakfast area and room were well equipped, comfortable and clean. Easy access to a large selection of 24 hour services but the Hotel was well off the highway for a quiet nights sleep. Perfect in every way!

Not a great motel. Pretty old but rooms were clean and updated. A/C units were stinky. Water out of the faucet was not good. Hot tub has a sign that says SPA not heated. Would have been ok if it was $100 cheaper. Guy at the desk was nice.

Positive: Location only. We did check for bed bugs and did not find any. Negative: The entire property was a dump. The room was dirty, smelled musty and the linen was soiled. Did not eat breakfast. I was very disappointed that a property by Wyndham was in this level of disarray. I wish I had slept in the car. NOT RECOMMENDED!

There was plenty of room to relax with a bedroom, kitchenette and living room. The bathroom was big but the shower head screw was stripped out and wouldn't stay in place. The staff was very nice and breakfast was decent. The pool and hot tub were cold we were able to soak up some sun by the pool.

This hotel was very clean, there was no ruckus going on throughout the evening. Rooms were very comfortable. The location is very close to the punta Gorda airport which is where I needed to be very early in the morning. They had a nice little breakfast bar that the lady at the front desk set up a little bit early so that we can have breakfast before the flight. She was very very nice. I would stay here again if I have another flight out of punta Gorda
