Baymont by Wyndham Orlando Downtown

I'm only giving this place 1 star because ZERO isn't an option. I'm not picky and I don't come from a lot of money so Ive stayed in some real dumps and they were better than this place. I paid EXTRA for the king executive suite for a little weekend getaway for my anniversary. Everything that makes it the executive suite does NOT work. The flat screen doesn't work, the fire place doesn't work, the toilet makes a loud lingering noise 10 mins after flushing it, the fridge doesn't get very cold, the matress is a literal ROCK, the hand towels and white comforter were both stained, the room phone does not work, and the wifi signal is extremely weak. Upset is an understatement. These people are crooks. The photos they posted online make the place look 10x better than what it really is. I will not

The front desk staff was very friendly, and the location of this hotel was great for our destination. However, these were the only redeeming qualities of this property. The first thing to hit you is the smell of smoke. The rules you agree to in order to get a room here harp on the property being a "NON-SMOKING" establishment, and what will happen if you smoke in a room. Our room (311) had definitely been smoked in. Next, the floor had not been swept, or clean at all. After taking a shower and walking around the room in bare feet, the soles of my feet were a dark gray color. The mattress cover had blood stains on it. Since this cover was under the fitted sheet, I did not come in direct contact with the blood-stained fabric, but you could see the blood through the sheet. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast included was adequate enough, we liked the waffle maker. However, housekeeping never came to our room, not even to take out trash. We had to leave the trash outside or bring it to reception in order to get the trash removed. The floors in the rooms left our feet extremely dirty, turning our feet black. Housekeeping is clearly not mopping the floors which is extremely disgusting. If housekeeping is not expected to come in that needs to be communicated at check-in. |We tried to call the front desk for extra towels since there were 4 of us and only enough towels for 2, and there is no plug for the phone so it’s just a useless phone sitting on the nightstand.

Positive: "" Negative: Very bad costumer service. Room smell cigarrete really bad. There was a big water filtration under the sink, I went to the office, there is not more room, so The guy in the front desk gave me 4 towels to put under the sink.

Honestly I would not ever stay at this hotel again. The guy who checked us in was extremely friendly and nice but that's the only good thing I can say about our stay. The guy who checked us out seemed like he couldn't careless. The bathroom door would not shut all the way. The walls in the bathroom had stains (I don't want to think about what they could have been). The shower had soap scum and the shower curtain had black spots. I have photos and videos of this. The beds were not comfortable and I ended up with back and shoulder pain the next day. The location was near mostly car dealerships with food being a little far if your not driving. Very little was in walking distance so this hotel being considered downtown seemed like a long shot. It looked like it had been converted from an old m
