Baymont by Wyndham Kingsland

This is a 2 story motel with no elevator. All rooms have outside doors. Our safety clip on our door did not work. The rooms have been nicely remodeled. It looks like a few items weren’t done and are showing wear and tear. The chair in our room was shredded on the arms. They do allow pets which could have caused it. I don’t know if they have pet free rooms. We were in a handicap room, which was fine, but there was mold at the base. The outside is not quite as clean as the inside. Breakfast is just your normal bagels , muffins, cereals. I only paid around $70, so it was a good price, if you don’t want or need all of the bells and whistles.

Positive: Was cheap and was cleaner then i expected at this star level Negative: The breakfast could have slightly more variety even if it’s just another flavor of muffin or yogurt

No elevator! -Breakfast at 6am-9am (inconvenient breakfast hours) -Loud central heat -Peeling ceiling -Dirty mattress cover -Bathroom door would not close This is a 2 star MOTEL! I only booked this place because it was last minute and I was looking for a decent place for one night and not spend a fortune and I had to check in after 12am. I'm not picky, but I know what good quality is and what laziness is. The staff here are LAZY! The mattress cover had fresh yellow stain spots that clearly could have been washed. It was also full of hair. The air and heating unit was very loud at 75 degrees. I couldn't sleep peacefully. The continental breakfast hours are inconvenient. No elevators. Parking ok. Staff seemed very lazy. The recliner in my room damaged my favorite coat because it had a nail

My wife and I visited this location as a jumping off point for a multi-day backpacking trip on Cumberland Island. We do this same trip as often as possible but usually once a year. We have stayed at nearly all the hotels on this exit and this is officially our favorite. We stayed in room 107. It was clean, the young lady at the desk was very friendly, and we enjoyed our short visit. We discussed this hotel after our stay and decided we will be booking this location a preferably room 107 each time we visit Cumberland Island from this point forward.

Overall the hotel was fine. Staff was friendly and rooms clean . Conveniently located for our purposes. The only suggestion would be to put some money into the gym but most often the gyms are not well maintained.
