Baymont by Wyndham Hot Springs On the Lake

Well, check in was about 45 minutes. We arrived and I went in to check in. There was nobody around I waited about 15 minutes and no one came out. So I decided to unload my luggage. Went back to the front desk....still nobody. Finally an employee came in and asked if we had been helped. We said no. So she called the manager. Finally about another 10 minutes later she came and checked us in. Gave us the wrong room. We booked a balcony room and she tryed to put us in a lake view room without a balcony. So after going to the room and finding it to be wrong she moved us to another room on another floor. The rooms are roomy and seemed clean The only real complaint my wife and I have is the breakfast. DO NOT GO BY THE PHOTOS ON THE WEBSITE. The breakfast area was filthy, poorly stocked. One bottl

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was quiet but needed better cleaning. Bedding had stains. Luggage carts were falling apart. The door going into the room was falling off the top hinge. The ice bucket was dirty. No soap by the sink. Lamp shades and mattress covers had stains all over them. Biscuits were hard, eggs were watery, sausage and gravy were good. Coffee was ok but they need to offer more creamer options.

They put us in a dirty room beds unmade and towels everywhere so I called and got it switched, the new room looked fine but my dad's wheelchair couldn't fit into the bathroom which we didnt realize til morning since he is end stage kidney failure he doesnt go often anyways, upon trying to go to bed within an hour I felt something crawling on me just to find a bed bug, I searched the bed and found blood stains on the flat sheet and across the bottom/end of the mattress like it hadn't ever been washed. No one was at the desk and when we left for surgery at 5 a.m there was still no one available, no one to leave complaint with or otherwise. The staff was very friendly and I enjoyed the breakfast. However, the second floor hallway had a weird smell to it, the bathtub floor was slippery, the bathroom vent cover was hanging down (not a big deal) and there was some kind of sauce smeared on the wall of the closet space. The price wasn’t bad though, but the cleanliness wasn’t the best

Positive: The staff is always courteous and accommodating. I stay here pretty often when visiting Hot Springs. The lake view rooms with balcony are NICE! Negative: One of my guests (I had 5 rooms) said the couch had small trash in it but that was only complaint
