Baymont by Wyndham Gettysburg

My fiancé and I stayed one night. We were told we had the hot tub in our room. It was a garden tub with jets. The towel rack was coming off the wall. There were stink bugs in the room. The bedroom window sheer had holes all through it. The paint in the rooms was messy. The couch had a cover over it. For the $165 that we paid, I don’t believe it was worth that amount of money. The free breakfast was good. It included scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, cereal, bagels, yogurt, apples, oranges, and a waffle maker. I did mention the above when we checked out. The desk manager said she would notify maintenance. I would not stay at this hotel again. They do allow dogs for $10. The elevator license had expired?

Made a reservation in Feb for June 4 and they charged my card right away. Then when checked in they put a $100 hold as a deposit on my card. Never had that happen. Was told the $100 would be taken off at noon after checkout but it was fully charged. Now Choice Hotels tells me it was refunded but will take up to 30 days. Seriously? Also the room had issues, such as hole by the lock. Buyer beware. Numerous other hotels in area.

We stayed here for one night on a quick trip to the area. When we arrived, we were welcomed and told about amenities such as breakfast. I smelled smoke in the hallway (perhaps from years gone by). Thankfully, our room didn’t have that smell and was clean. It’s no frills but a good value. I used the workout room, which is very small, and it served its purpose. Breakfast was ok — I recommend using the waffle maker. Friendly, hardworking staff.

The room was very comfy. Slept well as the beds were comfy. |Paul who was at the desk that evening was so nice and helpful making sure my elderly mother had a chair to sleep in. |The only issue was the walls are very thin if your a light sleeper. |For the price breakfast was adequate. Waffles, breads, cold cereal, yogurt, fruit.

These places are the total GEMS of Priceline. Probably recently acquired. Currrently under renovation so pretty low occupancy. Brand new KING ROOM in Gettysburg $67 Very comfortable bed. Mostly new furniture Somewhat unusual layout, but clean, comfortable room. Everything brand new. Friendly staff Only complaint- Finicky blend valve on shower
