This used to be nice and welcoming campground. Since the change of ownership this went downhill. The main staff is unwelcoming and almost threatening. We used to visit with several other families at least twice a season. Won’t be visiting anymore more unfortunately.
This place has a lot going on. We rented a cabin and were surprised how hands off they are. You need to bring everything, and I mean everything. They supply nothing but a broom. You are also responsible for sweeping. So if the last renter did a poor job sweeping, you may need to clean up after them. The room needed a fly swatter, so we had to buy one in town. We went here due to the friendly dog policy and it was a great place for dogs. They have a nice little dog park. Our dog had fun finding trash left over from previous renters in our very cozy little cabin. The 6 person deluxe cabin we rented was very small. We had 2 adults and 2 kids and I cannot imagine having 6 people in this cabin. Two bunk beds, one in the kitchen and the other is basically in the bathroom. It was weird how empty
We camped there in rv. We gave it a three star because it's a family friendly atmosphere. Pool was clean and taken care of. Showers needed updating. The activities kept my grandchildren happy and occupied. We took our dogs to a some what of a medium to small dog park within camp grounds. Pleased with it because of the excellent poop bags and clean dog area.| Not happy with broken glass around fire ring which was hazardous for my dogs and grand children. I told office about it and they nodded ok and never swept it up. Our water spigot was broken. No water until they ran a hose from another site. If you want s party campground this is the place. No policing but things do calm down after 11. Yurts smell of mildew but highly recommend cabins.
We stayed at your Baraboo location from July 18th through July 23rd, 2025. We stayed in park model 8. We had a terrible experience. I would give 0 stars if that were an option.|When we arrived our park model was so dirty, clearly nobody had cleaned it before we came. There was hair, dirt, bugs, and mouse droppings on the counters and floor! Then my kids age 9 and 6 go up to their bed and find someone's bloody period underwear in their bed! I then had to dispose of it because I did not want that around my kids! It is very obvious that cleaning doesn't happen here. The place was unsanitary and gross! It was a health hazard for my family!|When we talked to Barbara at the front desk about all this she was very rude! She asked us if we told anyone about it being dirty which we obviously did and
I really feel the need to say that this campground has gone downhill since Greg and Laurie sold to a "big" corporation like RJourney. We would stay here at least 2 times every Summer and absolutely loved it! They always had something planned and it was never boring and always packed. Kids were running around and riding bikes all over the campground but not now. There was hardly anyone there this weekend. It's like the wind was taken out of the sails. It was eerily quiet. It used to be packed on weekends and now it isn't which is to bad. We counted 33 unoccupied sites. Both Greg and Laurie were always on site working on something to make the campground better for guests and always offered a smile and would stop and talk to people. I miss those days because this used to be a great campground
