Bandera Star Riverfront Camping and RV

I made a reservation here for the first time based on some good reviews. However, my husband was uncomfortable with the fact that there is no restroom available and that the reserved spot is not guaranteed unless you pay an additional $10 to lock it in. Because of these concerns, I canceled the reservation more than two days before the check-in date. Even though I canceled in advance, I was still charged a $35 cancellation fee. I was offered the option to apply the $35 as a credit for a future visit, but I declined because I have no plans to visit. Charging $35 for canceling more than 48 hours ahead feels unethical and unfair. It comes across as prioritizing profit over customer satisfaction. Unfortunately, this experience left a very negative impression, and I will not be visiting.

Not as advertised, run down, old and not maintained well. Roads need repairs, sites not as advertised. River at access is low and muddy. No bathhouse if you need it. Dog park 2 feet in grass. I would not stay or recommend this park. Lots of other options to try in Bandera.

Excellent RV Park. We were there for a month and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will be back. Owners truly take care of the park.

We came for an overnight stay. The park has mature trees and is right on the river. The spots were super easy pull-throughs. Electric, water and sewer were right there. It was peaceful and quiet. Service was prompt and friendly. Price cannot be beat! Strip mall at front of property had an amazing donut shop for donuts and kolaches at breakfast. Super close (walkable) to downtown for all of the things you come to Bandera for. Was it an older park? Yes. Did it have some permanent residents? Yes, but they were super friendly. Did it have a pool or a water park or a gift shop and bath house? Nope, but they didn’t advertise that they did. Was it a really nice, unpretentious little river side rv park? Yes, and we would definitely stay there again!!

Over the last 30 years we've been camping this was the worst campground we have ever stayed at! Campground was not maintained and 95% were full time residents. Check in was 2 PM and we arrived at 1:15 so they charged us and early check in fee. There was a 2 Pet Max which we were not aware of. So we had to pay a fee for the 3rd pet as well. We left the next morning couldn't stay there another day. Thank goodness our next campground could take us 2 days early. CAMPERS BEWARE
