The Vaquero Motel

This place is a favorite of many who come to Bandera. Across the way is a beautiful City Park along the RIVER, nice for walks outside of town. Easy to walk into town. Private cabins but also fun if you have a big group. Big courtyard out front for gathering place

We enjoyed our two-night stay here. The location is great: A short walk to downtown and the city riverfront park and a short drive to Hill Country Natural Area. Clean, attractive room had comfortable beds, good hot water, and climate control. Kitchenette was like most motel rooms -- Microwave, fridge and coffeemaker -- but it also had a separate sink. We enjoyed sitting on the porch in the evening, though we didn't use the fire pits due to the burn ban. Check in was easy and we got some good tips on things to do. Will stay here again.

Positive: Very clean. Unique. Location was great. Relaxing set up great for families. Awesome place. Negative: Wi-Fi was spotty in our room, so couldn?t stream on the room tv, and no cable or local tv access. But we weren?t there to watch tv, so no big deal.

Stayed one night while passing through town. Our cabin had 2 comfy queen beds, very large bathroom(with extra heater) and a separate little room with mini frig, microwave and keurig coffeemaker and coffee. All very nice at a reasonable price! |Large tv, good Wi-Fi, cowboy decor, warm heater. |Walking distance to restaurants,shops, bars in town. |Congenital lady at check in/out. |There are stairs (several stone steps) to walk up to the front porch which might be an issue for folks with mobility troubles (Cabin 9)|We would definitely recommend The Vaquero Motel!

We stayed here during our weekend trip to Bandera. The room was very clean and had a nice Cowboy theme. We liked how each unit was stand alone. We walked everywhere downtown we wanted to go from our room.
