Bald Mountain Ski Area

Most disappointing day not snowboarding ever. We checked both their website and Google maps for hours and they said it was open on Saturdays at 9am. When we arrived the place was completely closed with no signs of it being open at all this season.

Staff was great, prices are fair, the view is amazing. They have a T-bar lift instead of chairs, it's easy to learn if you haven't used one. The ski and pole selection is a little limited so show up early if you can. Definitely worth visiting!

I recently had the misfortune of visiting this ski resort, and the experience was nothing short of a disaster. I feel compelled to share my disappointment with others to spare them from a similar ordeal. To begin with, the ski lift was out of order for the entire day, leaving patrons unable to enjoy the slopes they paid to access. When I approached the staff about a potential refund due to the inconvenience, I was met with a flat-out refusal. The lack of customer service and unwillingness to address such a glaring issue was shocking. The overall atmosphere at the resort was marred by the rudeness of both staff and fellow patrons. I recently visited Bald Mountain with a group of 5 friends, and unfortunately, it turned out to be a trip filled with disappointment. We purchased lift tickets only to find out that the lift wasn't operational, we then waited for an hour at the bottom of the hill to hope they could start it up again. To make matters worse, the lift broke down before we could even enjoy a single run. Locals informed us that this was a common occurrence, happening multiple times a day. So then people started walking up the hill while select others were getting taken up by skimobles. One of the workers was flying up the hill at least 50MPH with a little girl on this two-seater skimoble, which was scary to watch. I'll let you visualize for yourself.
