Bainbridge Island Country Inn

I called to see if I could find a room for a family member age 99, and was told they would have to reserve the room in order to see if one was available on the main floor. When I asked if they could start the reservation in order to see, I was told no. I will take my business elsewhere. Pretty poor service and tone was no better. It was obviously too much trouble.

Towards the high end of what I've come to expect from the Choice Hotels brand. Clean comfortable room, quiet location, professional service. The coffee is decent and there's room for improvement with the continental breakfast but, overall, I'm quite satisfied with this place and will certainly be staying here again whenever business brings me to Bainbridge Island.

Staff friendly and helpful, however bed was really firm, toilet had problems working, extremely low water pressure in the shower, breakfast area in too small a space so it felt really crowded with minimal selection of foods, bathroom could have been cleaner, was okay but there was hair in the tub. Not a great value for the price of the room.

Room was clean. Very basic and dated. Old school TV, no fridge. The big problem is the terrible pillows! This motel is priced well for the area, but not so much lower that we shouldn't expect comfortable pillows. And there were only two pillows per bed. Totally not enough. One was flat, two felt like they were stuffed with socks. One was decent. Totally ruined the sleep.

We stayed at this motel 4 nights and will return to it next time we are in the area. The minor problem we had was tended to and handled nicely. The staff is great. The new manager is working hard to make things that needed to be worked on much better for the visitors. We have stayed there each time we have been in the area and watched it thru all phases of needing improvement to being a very pleasant place to stay. It may not be totally modern but the other assets it has make up for that. Very reasonable also.
