Baileys Harbor Schoolhouse Inn

It's been a long time since I've been sent to the Principal's office but Caleb sent us there! Each schoolhouse room is beautifully decorated and brings history to life. He gave us the amazing history of the schoolhouse and renovations. Kristen, also, told us some very interesting stories. The Schoolhouse is conveniently located in the heart of Bailey's Harbor. We attended the Wine Festival and the big, yellow, bus picked us up only one block away. A yellow transportation bus to the festival was fitting since we stayed at the Schoolhouse! The Schoolhouse is within walking distance from breweries, restaurants, the Sunday farmer's market and the water. The room was big yet cozy. Very clean and well maintained. Everything already stated is 100% accurate! We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Schoolhouse Inn. Caleb, Kristen and Ida are such a nice family and they go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable throughout your stay. Our room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. It is an easy walk to the harbor and to restaurants. We also really like that Bailey’s Harbor is quiet compared to some of the other more crowded and busy places in Door County. We highly recommend staying here for your visit to Door County!

Had a great visit to Door County with a perfect home base to return to each day. Caleb warmly welcomed us when we arrived and was extremely helpful in acquainting us with the Schoolhouse Inn and things to do in this beautiful area. The Inn is so unique and the conversion from Schoolhouse to a hostel is truly one of a kind. The grounds and facilities are immaculate. Caleb is always available and pleased to assist you, though we never needed anything because absolutely everything was already in place. They truly know how to afford you a perfect and worry-free stay. We encourage you to visit Door County and book your stay at the one and only Baileys Harbor Schoolhouse Inn. Just returned from another wonderful experience at Bailey's Harbor Schoolhouse Inn. We prefer a quieter Door County experience and find that the lake side of the peninsula meets that preference. The Schoolhouse Inn is located just a block or two from the marina and food, shops, and art galleries are an easy walk from the Inn. All of the rooms are tastefully decorated and provide plenty of space to read, relax, and enjoy the village. The beautiful landscaping makes this Inn extra special, along with Caleb and Kristen who are very attentive innkeepers and sociable.

I enjoyed my weeklong stay here. The owner was super helpful and welcoming. The room was lovely and light and spacious and well decorated. While the building is old, the shower and AC and everything else is modern. The gardens around the hotel are beautiful. It was very quiet at night. And it's a block away from multiple coffee shops and restaurants. I'll be staying here again next time I'm in Door County.
