Avanti palms resort internacional drive

Centrally located and only 15min from universal studios, great staff, nice pool and surroundings, nice cafe with plenty to choose from, bar area and games room. The rooms are a basic and in need of refurbishment (tired) also a laundry room if needed. Be aware of outside noise from other clubs/restaurants close to the hotel, we had quite a few disturbed nights up until 2/3am, from where our rooms were in the complex unit 5.

Hotel was ok but we had issues with front desk and charges. Our holiday included breakfast and the taxes. When we arrived we were told that we had to pay a deposit of $200 (which wasn't stated in any paper work) and pay the taxes $180 which was included in our holiday showed paper work and was told they couldn't find the booking but showed the screen with the booking on the system. Wouldn't issue room key untill we paid them. So paid and contacted our tour operator who then sent the hotel the confirmation of taxes paid (still waiting on this to be refunded and that was 2 years ago now). Then on check out we were given a bill for breakfasts taken through our stay. Again these were included with our package. Again showed woman at the desk who took an attitude with us. Great location, renovated rooms, very good service. Janice at the front desk make the difference.

Slow front desk service: Guests face long waits when trying to get assistance in person. Unreachable by phone: Calling the front desk doesn’t work, adding frustration. Early room interruptions: Housekeeping knocks and opens rooms around 9:00 a.m. Unclear checkout process: Poor communication about checkout timing disrupts guests. These points together highlight customer service breakdowns and lack of coordination between hotel departments.
