Avania Inn of Santa Barbara

This hotel was such a great value find! The rooms are very fresh and clean; they look modern and renovated. The staff was friendly and helpful. They have a complimentary breakfast that was perfect for what we needed (waffles and yogurt). This hotel is in a great location where you can walk to both the oceanfront or downtown in just 15 min. We would stay here again!

We arrived super late, but the staff (especially Isabella) was very accommodating, and we got a clean, quiet room. Everything throughout the property was very clean, which made our stay even more enjoyable.||We didn’t use the television or media, but we definitely enjoyed the amenities, which were really nice. They had Beekman 1802 products, which were a great touch.||Breakfast was delicious, probably the best I’ve had in a long time. It was serve-yourself style with cute mini Belgian waffle machines and fresh strawberries. Jasmin, who helped during breakfast, was wonderful and made sure everything was well stocked and organized. Loved this charming hotel - it was in the perfect location! Avania Hotel in Santa Barbara was such a great stay...clean, comfortable rooms, friendly staff, and a relaxing coastal vibe. The location couldn’t be bette. It's just a short, easy walk to Stearns Wharf, the beach, and plenty of great restaurants and shops. Parking was convenient, and the complimentary breakfast was a nice touch before heading out to explore. Everything felt well-kept and welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful stay within walking distance of the waterfront and downtown.

Positive: I loved the friendliness of the staff, the location from the train, the location to convenience stores, and the complementary food and snacks. Negative: We found 2 bugs in our room at different times. The first was removed by staff with the promise of housekeeping to come change the sheets. There was a second bug on the ceiling the next morning. Both were pincher bugs.

While Santa Barbara is a nice enough place in of itself, my stay here definitely added to the experience. Whoever decorated this place deserves a commendation or whatever. The staff was friendly, the room was spacious and clean, and even had a private little patio. Also, free breakfast and coffee.
