Avalon Inn

Just a few minutes walk from all the cool spots in town, Avalon Inn offers a chance to ingratiate yourself to the locals and get a good feel for the rhythm of Osoyoos. The unit was clean and everything worked perfectly! The Spanish style architecture feels very homey and welcoming.

Not great, the room was old and painted a very dark brown.|The pull up couch was old and so were the beds. The soap and shampoos were very tiny and the towels very small.|The room overall was very dark and the bedroom was cramped. It needs a total makeover. |It was adequate.

Wake up to a beautiful mountain view! This family run inn was lovely. Watch the sunrise and birds chirping in the trees on the property. Definitely staying here every time I’m in Osoyoos.

I don’t know how it’s only got a 2-star rating. Lower your expectations people. My room was perfectly clean and had everything I needed. We stayed for 2 nights during probably one of the busiest weekends of summer and we didn’t get bothered by noise at all. I loved how close it is to everything. I didn’t drive all weekend! I deducted one star because of the price and there was a musty smell in my room, perhaps an old flood or the air conditioner but it wasn’t a huge deal. We’ll definitely be coming back! Oh, and the art on the wall was really cool! I even took a picture of it!

Room 103 Review: The room was tidy at first glance, but not truly clean. If I had brought a black light, it probably would’ve lit up like a Christmas tree. Bedsheets and carpet looked dirty, stains on the couch, and even stains on the mirror. They only provide a single key, but privacy is good since the managers keep to themselves. The toilet had a lingering sewer smell and only flushed if you held the lever for 5–7 seconds due to a backup. The shower curtain was grimy, and the shower itself filled with water because it didn’t drain properly. On the plus side, the location is great for younger folks—it’s right in the middle of the town’s hotspots and has a fun vibe overall. Just be prepared for some “icky” factors mixed in with the fun.
