Autrain Motel

Terrible experience. We noticed immediately that there was a water leak in the bathroom. When I told the clerk, he said that the room was just cleaned/mopped. But the water was still on the floor the next evening - even the carpet was moist. I wanted to see about changing rooms, but the clerks close up at 8 p.m. The room seemed clean but there was a huge rip in the carpet, the wall-mounted heater was rusty and crusty. The worst part was the shower. The showerhead was practically falling off the wall and had very little water pressure.

If you’re looking for a place to lay your head at night and shower this place is perfect. Small but clean room with comfortable beds and hot shower. Kitchenette give you a coffee maker, toaster, microwave, sink and fridge. Small tv is provided. Can’t beat the price! Staff is located in the grocery next store and are very kind and attentive. Located 30 mins from Marquette and 10 mins from Munising with Lake Superior beach access within walking distance!

Very old outdated motel. Water in toilet and sink faucet was brown, TV and wifi did not work, AC and furnace looked as if they had not been cleaned in years. Bed sheets were clean. Towels may have been laundered but were old and stained. The location was good and safe, but honestly I can not recommend this motel. 0 stars.

It was clean and they are doing updates but it is dated and the carpet was torn. Shower was so small that I couldn't bend over and pick up the soap when I dropped it. Think of it as a place more like what you would stay at if you were in the backwoods hunting and not a place to stay on a honeymoon.

I had a very good experience here. I paid for the weekend $252 almost $74 a night not bad!!! I had two bedrooms, a small bathroom, cooking necessities. Although beds were hard and there was no hot water it was a warm place to sleep. Needs upgrades but worth the stay. I will be coming back. Has a cute little store next door. Gas, food and groceries. Definitely affordable (: thank you 😊
