Atlantic Inn & Suites

Positive: the staff was ok. That's about it. Negative: no microwave had to get staff to get one. TV didn't work. Got a new remote. Didn't work. It was unplugged had to plug it in. Bathroom door WOULD NOT CLOSE Had to force it closed The insulation from inside the door was falling out of the bottom!! Gross

When I made my reservation I specifically told the receptionist that I needed a handicap accessible room for my 100 year old mother. She assured me the rooms were all accessible. Upon checking in, the room was NOT handicap accessible, and the bathroom door wasn't even wide enough for my mother's walker to fit through, let alone not having any bars to hold onto. There were also 2 steps leading to the room that were very difficult for my mother to navigate, even with our help. I noticed that there were some rooms with handicap parking designated in front of them, so I went to the front desk and asked that we be moved there. Chrish & Izzy were awesome. Very accommodating, friendly and welcoming. The pool was huge, clean, really nice & quiet. The room was updated, clean & nicely appointed. The AC worked awesome! We needed a 1 night stay in the summer, which is almost never allowed, peak season, down the shore. 7 minutes from the beach. It was perfect. Will definitely recommend, and be coming back! Thank you for a lovely overnight stay!.

I looked at the other reviews because I was curious the variety of experiences. We were looking for inexpensive one night in September. We stopped for a Jersey shore activity (Brew tour) on our way to Delaware for a long weekend. Can safely say “got what we paid for”. So that said - the pool was clean and so was the room and bed. The bed was a decent sleep and good condition. The AC fine. Fridge was clean and worked. But the place had a “weathered” look. Furniture was second hand from Hilton 😆(which we usually stay at so we felt at home with that LOL). Now for the bathroom. Toilet rocked a bit (flange issue?). I recently stayed at the Atlantic Inn. It's a small quaint hotel near the beach. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and local eateries were nearby. During the stay I had some trouble, and the staff were sensitive to my situation, which was much appreciated during a difficult time. Although the accommodation is not a five star hotel, the hotel is well maintained, welcoming, and in a nice area. I highly recommend the Atlantic Inn.
